Common questions

How do I make an invoice?
Tap Create invoice, tap the dates you worked, choose a client, check your hours and rate, then tap Next until you see the PDF. Tap Share to send it.

One day had different hours or pay. Can I change just that day?
Yes. On the invoice, tap Each date under Pay and change the hours or rate for that date. Leave a box blank to use the normal hours and rate.

Next says something is missing.
Every invoice needs at least one date, a client, a service line, hours and rate, and your payment details (account holder, 6-digit sort code, 8-digit account number). Tap Next and the app takes you straight to whatever is missing.

Can I say my invoice instead of typing it?
Yes. Tap the microphone on the home screen and say something like "Monday and Wednesday next month for Greenfield Pharmacy, 8 hours at £30 an hour". Check what it heard, then tap Use this.

How do I add my logo or change the look?
On the final PDF screen, tap Add logo and pick a picture, and choose a style: Classic, Modern, Minimal or Bold. Your logo and style are remembered for next time.

Do I need an invoice number?
No. New invoices get the next number automatically. Tap it on the PDF screen to change it, or clear it for no number.

How do I delete an invoice?
Press and hold it on the home screen (or open it and tap ⋯) and choose Delete invoice. This can't be undone.

I made a mistake on an invoice I already sent.
Open the invoice from the home screen, tap ⋯ → Correct invoice, fix it and share it again. The original is kept in Invoice history marked "Replaced" and isn't counted twice.

How do I back up my invoices?
Tap the gear icon → Back up data → Save to Files (iCloud Drive is a good choice). The backup includes bank details, so keep it private.

How do I move my invoices to a new iPhone?
Back up on the old iPhone, then on the new one tap the gear icon → Restore from backup and pick the file. Restoring only adds invoices that are missing; it never deletes anything.

Can I get my invoices into a spreadsheet?
Gear icon → Export [year] as spreadsheet creates a CSV file that opens in Numbers or Excel.
